Bio

Coach Sebastian Kalm (29) started playing rugby at the age of 5 in his hometown Santiago Chile while attending a British School (The Grange School). Sebastian did most of his development in Chile up until getting to play in two Junior World Rugby Trophies (USA 2011; Chile 2012). At a very young age, Sebastian had big rugby aspirations, which brought him to the USA shortly after his HS graduation, landing him an opportunity to play for Lindenwood University asnd winning a National Championship for 7s. He’s spent the next 10 years playing and developing within American Rugby, which took him as far as signing a contract with USA Rugby. He won the Pro Rugby North America’s MVP for the league while playing for Ohio Aviators and then went to play for Old Blue in NY, while professional rugby in America was still shaping. In 2018, MLR was launched, and Seb went to sign with NOLA Gold where he spent the next year, before suffering a neck injury that would see him move to Austin and later retire. We have the pleasure to have him coaching here at Palmer were his experiences and commitment have really change and helped push a young group of exciting athletes to rekindle their desire to compete and become the best rugby player version of themselves.
