Alex Lourens

Coming from South Africa, rugby is a huge part of my life. I started playing rugby when I was just 5 years old and played for 20 years with various schools, clubs, varsity, and regional teams. Towards the end of my playing career, I took up coaching. I started with coaching children 5-7 years of age and building them up with the basics needed to play rugby. I then progressed to coaching at the high school level and eventually moved on to coaching club rugby before coming to study at Palmer. I am eager to develop the game of rugby even further at Palmer, and help all players be the best they can be on and off the pitch.
