Alex grew up in Memphis, Tn watching local men’s club rugby. As life would have it, his parents both being Alumnus of Palmer, grew up a fan of Palmer rugby. They would stay as his parents house when they came down for the Elvis 7’s tournament every year. He started playing rugby in the 8th grade as a scrum half for a local high school team. Made the West Tn all star team his first 3 years of High school and made the Tn Tri stars his senior year. He captained the tri stars in both 7’s and 15’s. Moving to college he went on to play at Arkansas State however, stopped after his first semester after learning that he was a soon to be father. Ultimately, the vision of becoming a chiropractor and playing for Palmer never faded and moved to the Quad Cities to play in August of 2017 while he finished his undergraduate credits. In the fall of 2019, Alex made the decision to retire the boots after dealing with a multitude of concussions and has recently decided to fully commit to coaching.
