Both teams were back in action last weekend. For the women's club it was the second game of the shortened spring season and for the men their first game. With a lot of new faces and first rugby action for many, these spring friendly's are a welcome addition for both clubs.
The women were at home taking on the Iowa under 23 select side. Palmer scored early and often as they shook the rust off from their first match two weeks ago it Lindenwood. Palmer wrapped up a convincing win 58 - 10 on a blustery sunny day in Davenport.
The men traveled to Kansas City to take on fellow league member the blues who have been playing since early this spring. It was the first game in over sixteen months. Many new faces dotted the line up as they took the field. The team found themselves down in the first half but found some rhythm in the second half where they found the tri zone twice. Ultimately it was a good day to get the boots dirty again and shake off the rust. Palmer lost the game 42 - 10.
